About
We measure what nobody else measures.
AskedHere is a polling organisation built around a simple observation: national pollsters are built for national audiences. They study presidential approval ratings and consumer sentiment about familiar brands, but they don’t poll your school board, your county’s ballot measures, or the zoning fight that’s about to reshape your neighbourhood. Local journalists want to cover those decisions but rarely have polling capability. We fill that gap.
What we believe
The questions that most affect your daily life are also the questions most often left unasked, because they don’t scale to a national poll. We think those questions deserve answers — measured properly, published openly, and held to account.
We’re not in the business of producing the answers that get the most clicks. We’re in the business of producing the answers that turn out to be right. Our reputation is staked on accuracy, not on virality.
How we work
For each topic we publish, we identify the affected community, recruit a methodologically valid sample of verified residents, ask the question with neutrally framed wording reviewed by independent methodologists, and publish the results with full disclosure of how the poll was conducted, who was sampled, and what the limitations are. When a topic has a measurable outcome — a vote, an election, a referendum — we score our prediction against the actual result on a public track record.
What we won’t do
- We won’t suppress unpopular findings.
- We won’t hide our misses.
- We won’t take editorial direction from sponsors or buyers.
- We won’t sell raw individual data.
Where we’re starting
Vermont. We picked Vermont because it has the civic engagement, the local-news ecosystem, and the scale where one well-conducted poll can materially shape a public conversation. After Vermont we’ll expand carefully — one geography at a time, holding the methodology standard above growth.
Who we are
AskedHere operates under PSP US Ventures while the project takes shape. We’ll spin out a dedicated public-benefit entity once we’ve earned the operating history to justify it. This page will be updated as the team grows.
